SDI Wreck Diver
Wreck diving is a thrilling way to explore underwater history, allowing divers the chance to investigate sunken ships, airplanes, and even vehicles that often become artificial reefs teeming with marine life. Whether purpose-sunk or lost accidentally, each wreck tells a story. The Wreck Diver course equips divers with the knowledge and skills needed to safely enjoy these fascinating sites while observing responsible wreck diving practices.

What’s in it for you?
Upon successful completion of this course graduates may:
- Dive wrecks that are similar to the type of wrecks they were exposed to during training
- Plan and execute a wreck dive
Also, the SDI Wreck Diver certification counts towards a single specialty rating to achieve the SDI Advanced Diver Development Program.
Course Duration
The course duration for the full wreck course including penetration is 3 open water dives.
If no wreck penetration is wanted the course can be completed in 2 open water dives.
Extra training
If the course cannot be completed within the dives planned and further training is deemed necessary we offer additional training. The costs for this are €150,- per extra day of training.
Course prerequisites
- Minimum age of 15 years old (15 through 17 years with parental consent)
- Minimum age 10 with parental consent for a non-penetration course
- SDI Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent.
- Divers must have a deep diver specialty certification or be able to provide proof of experience in order to dive deeper than 18 metres/60 feet in this course
