TDI Nitrox
The Nitrox Diver course is designed for certified divers looking to expand their knowledge and skills by utilizing enriched air nitrox. This entry-level program introduces the benefits of diving with nitrox, such as extended no-decompression limits and increased bottom time, making it an excellent choice for divers interested in advancing their recreational diving or exploring technical diving opportunities.
During the course, participants learn about nitrox mixtures containing 22% to 40% oxygen, including the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for their use. This certification also serves as a foundation for advanced training, including courses such as Advanced Nitrox, Decompression Procedures, and Semi-Closed Rebreather diving.
Who this course is for:
- The open water diver who is interested in learning more about nitrox mixtures
- The open water diver who is interested in extending their bottom time
- The certified diver who has interest in moving forward with technical diving education
What you can expect to learn:
- The benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for using nitrox mixes from 22 through 40 percent oxygen content
- Equipment considerations, cylinder labeling, analyzing nitrox mixtures, and gas blending procedures

Extra training
This is a purely theoretical training. A training dive with nitrox is not included by default, ask us for the possibilities.
Course prerequisites
- Minimum age of 15 years old (15 through 17 years with parental consent)
- SDI Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent.
